September is often one of the busiest months in the B2B PR agency calendar. With everyone now “back to school” there are a lot of trade shows, both in the UK and globally. In the world of our commercial vehicle component clients, for example, we have IAA Transportation in Hanover and COMVEC in the USA. Closer to home, where our UK client, Allison Transmission is exhibiting, we have the Resource & Waste Management Show (RWM) at the NEC, which has a focus on refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), and the DVD defence industry exhibition at Millbrook.
In these days of remote working, the trade show is worth its weight in gold: at the RWM show yesterday, we secured a number of fresh case studies for our customers as well as thought leadership articles in leading trade magazines. We chatted through the implications for RCVs and their powertrains of the incoming Simpler Recycling legislation, a hot topic affecting food waste, in particular, that will be with us for some time. Plus, as pictured, it was great to catch up with our Allison buddies, some of whom we’ve worked with for over 16 years!
Onward to the end of the month and we are looking forward to hosting defence sector specialist journalists at Allison’s manufacturing and test driving facility in Hungary.
