We have been selected by Jacobs Vehicle Systems to lead its UK media relations. Jacobs is the world’s leading supplier of heavy-duty diesel engine retarding solutions and in 2016, we will be supporting the company with communications around its high power density (HPD) technology.

Jacobs joins Propel’s growing commercial vehicle technology client base, having been impressed by our work for commercial vehicle fully automatic transmissions manufacturer, Allison Transmission.

The HPD engine brake is a response to global engine suppliers’ drive to provide higher power density engines for fuel economy. It provides large displacement retarding power in small and medium displacement engines. It has up to 50% more power than a traditional compression release braking product and reduces loads on the valve train.
