Viessmann invites installers to take a ride into the next generation of heating products at Installer 2018

Viessmann will be offering visitors to Installer 2018 (Ricoh Arena, Coventry, May 8-10, stand C10) the chance to go head-to-head around a race track in a Jaguar Racing Formula E racing simulator. Viessmann is an Official Team Partner of the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team in the FIA Formula E Championship, which currently lies in third place.

The heating systems manufacturer will also be exhibiting its Which?-endorsed Vitodens gas-condensing boiler range, from 1.8 to 35 kW and offering incentives to new installers from the Viessmann stand, C10.

Viessmann’s Vitovalor 300-P fuel cell appliance for domestic heat and power micro-generation will also be on show, and experts will be on hand to explain the opportunities for installers. Now available with European PACE project funding, the installed price of around £12,000, is comparable with heat pump installations. The fuel cell unit will generate 4,500 kWh of power every year, which could earn the end-customer around £6,300 on Feed-in-Tariff over 10 years. In addition, between 50 and 60 % of the electricity bill can be saved, and a return on investment of between two and six years achieved.

“I predict that the Viessmann stand will be a particularly ‘electric’ place to be this year, with our Formula E racing simulator and much talked-about Vitovalor 300-P fuel cell,” says Viessmann marketing director, Darren McMahon. “Besides our efficient, gas-condensing boiler technology, which has been recently recognised by Which?, we are showing how Viessmann is continuing to develop the technology that will determine the next generations’ living space. In that regard, there is a great parallel between the goals of Formula E and Viessmann as both automotive and heating companies come together to solve some of our energy challenges. For example, our first Vitovalor customer under the PACE scheme uses the power generated by the fuel cell to provide 50% of his electric car charging needs. We hope to excite installers about the future at Installer 2018.”
