Viessmann Climate Solutions UK, headline sponsor of the HIP Learner of the Year and HIP Female Skills Competition 2024, congratulates double-winner, Daisy Turner from Barking & Dagenham College who came out on top in both competitions following two intense grand finals last week.
The awards, run by HIP magazine, saw a team of judges scour England and Wales for the best up-and-coming Level 2 and 3 plumbing students in the heating industry.
Overwhelmed with joy, Daisy said, “Winning both the HIP Female Skills Competition and the HIP Learner of the Year Competition in the space of a week has been unbelievable! I’d encourage anyone considering entering next year to absolutely go for it!”
Congratulations are also in order to the runners-up. Zak Rowan from Grimsby Institute was close behind in the HIP Learner of the Year competition. Ciah Hooch Llewellyn Davies from Gower College, Swansea, was runner-up in the HIP Female Skills Competition.
Emma-Louise Bennett, Active Transition Support Lead at Viessmann Climate Solutions UK, said: “The sheer determination and skill shown by these young engineers means that the heating industry can only go from strength to strength. We are looking forward to being a part of their careers for years to come.”
