We are delighted to be supporting new tunnelling and underground structure specialist, hyperTunnel, with its external communications strategy, media relations, social media and copyrighting. Propel’s work was admired by hyperTunnel’s director of engineering when he was formerly working for a competitor to one of our automotive clients!
hyperTunnel is developing a revolutionary methodology for tunnels and underground schemes, designed to be substantially faster, safer, more economical and environmentally-friendly than current techniques. hyperTunnel’s goal is to dramatically reduce the cost of tunnels, allowing global demand for increased, yet more sustainable transportation solutions, to be met.
Its new method for building, repairing, enlarging and monitoring tunnels uses a unique combination of proven technologies from diverse industries – including digital twins, robotics, 3D printing and digital underground surveying, supported by AI and VR.
“Any PR consultant knows how good it feels to be able to truly believe in your own hype and with hyperTunnel, I have a feeling that Propel is in at the beginning of something very special indeed. We are strapped in and feeling very much part of the movement that is going to change the way tunnels are built – all over the world and for significant societal benefit,” said Propel lead consultant, Claire Dumbreck.
“Explaining the radical hyperTunnel method takes at least an hour and a half. Propel was brought in initially to condense that into a 1.5 page press release! As usual we are helping to translate engineer-speak into plain English, for technical and investor audiences initially, and the mainstream media in due course. We’re providing no-nonsense guidance as a sounding board for the leadership team in a fast-paced, start-up environment,” commented Claire.
